Schutzhund Training Top
Level Schutzhund Training People can talk a good story by attending a seminar - but practical training and getting the "scores in the score book" is an entirely different matter. Talk doesn't get that done! The time it takes and the vast experience needed to train a dog for top Schutzhund competition is beyond most trainers comprehension and skill level (probably the reason Germany exports thousands of dogs annually). This is usually not a matter of dedication or desire, but, simply the lack of experience to train top competition dogs. Additionally, we've watched hundreds of dogs be imported from Europe that fail to attain the same success that they had in Europe. While there are numerous reasons for this, it usually is that the methodology of training is so different in America that the dogs are left "fending for themselves" to try to work to their potential. If the handlers would just take a little time to work with people that understand the dogs drives and the European methods of training - they would be much more successful. The dog must be maintained in the same manner as he was trained. To "re-invent the wheel" with your new dog is a disservice to him...and to you. If you've checked out our credentials on the previous pages, you've seen that we aren't the average Schutzhund training group. We have been in this sport for over 25 years and have attained a great deal of success. The most exhilarating successes for us are when those that train with us succeed - and we have had some of the best. We have had some of the most incredible owner trained, titled and handled dogs work in our group and some of the top imports in the country come out of our ranks.
